The Spa GAA Academy enjoyed another successful Annual Ice Cream Fun Morning last Saturday, with players, parents, coaches and volunteers coming together for a wonderful morning of football, fun and community spirit.

Now in its third year, the event has become a popular fixture in the Academy calendar, marking the halfway point of the season and giving everyone involved in the Academy an opportunity to relax and enjoy a social gathering together.

A new addition this year was the introduction of the Spa Swap Shop, which proved to be a huge success. Families were able to exchange outgrown boots and Spa gear for larger sizes, helping to recycle club equipment while supporting fellow members. The initiative was extremely well received and is sure to become a regular feature in the years ahead.

Adding to the excitement, members of our Senior Ladies team paid a special visit with the Donal Curtin Cup Division 2 trophy, fresh from their fantastic victory the previous week. The young players were thrilled to meet the team and see the silverware up close, creating plenty of memorable photo opportunities.

Of course, no Spa Academy event would be complete without a visit from our popular mascot Spark, who was once again a big hit with the children throughout the morning.

A sincere thank you to club member John Fleming of Muckross Creamery for his ever popular ice creams, which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Thanks also to all of our coaches and volunteers who helped organise the event and ensured another memorable morning for our Academy families.
