A very high scoring game took place as Spa hosted Austin Stacks on Sunday afternoon.

Stacks drew first blood before Spa took a 3 point lead after 10 minutes aided by a wonderful Shane Cronin 2 pointer.

However shortly afterwards Stacks scored their first goal to level things up. Mike Foley then slalomed through the Stacks defence to set up Mike Horgan for a wonderful point to retake the lead.

The game turned on its head half way through the 1st half when Stacks scored 3-2 without reply.

Super points before half time by Evan Cronin and Gary Vaughan kept Spa in touch on a score of 8 points to 5-5.

Spa started the 2nd half very brightly with fantastic 2 pointers by Evan Cronin and Gary Vaughan bringing the score to 14 points to 5-6.

However Stacks struck for another goal soon afterwards before David Spillane netted one for the boys in blue.

A late goal by Stacks and 2 late 2 pointers by Cian Murphy and Evan Cronin closed out the contest where the visitors won out by a 7-10 to 1-20 score line.

Next up for Spa is a trip to Dingle in two weeks time.
