08/03/2010    East Kerry senior league
Spa 2-4 Currow O-8
Fielding a number of their reserve panel Spa senior footballers had a two poinbt victory over Currow at Spa on Sunday and overall this was a close and most entertaining contest, Spa opened well with points by Paul Cronin, O-2 and Anthony oSullivan O-I to leave the sides level after I5minutes play and then came two well worked goals by midfielder Andrew Regan and Anthony oSullivan to leave the interval score Spa 2-3 Currow O-3 Aided by the breeze in the secod half Currow gradually reduced the deficit but the clock denied them the oportunity to at least salvage a draw,
Overall this was a most satisfactory performance by this experimental Spa side and the one positive aspect of the game was the fact that the forwards and midfielders delivered the long ball to the inside sector a policy whci yielded the opening half goals by Andrew Regan and Anthony oSullivan and hopefully we will see more of this type play during the coming season, Team Andrew oSullivan Paul Casey,Aidan Cahill, Paul Kelliher, Paul Russel, Damian oSullivan Eoin Cronin, Keving Healy Andrew Regan,I-O Paul Cronin O-2, Anthony oSullivan I-2,Conor Gleeson, Adam oReilly Keving Regan Cormac Cronin Jim Morris,Referee Christy Crowley Gneeveguilla,
