As part of the GAA Social Initiative for 2012 Spa GAA club are continuing the weekly card games in the Clubhouse on Tuesday nights 8-30pm and sessions are currently being played at various venues around the county with a Grand Final scheduled from Darby O’Gills on March 23rd. Please note that as part of this season’s Social Initiative Project participating players can avail of the special group rate to National League and championship games during 2012. Admission rates 5euros for minimum group of 5 entering through the designated senior citizens’ entrance for those games including Croke Park and also the concession rate for the meal in Croker. So does this signal a mass exodus from Spa to Croker on March 17th for the club finals? Dave and Johnny Batt please take note..

Social Initiative clubs including Spa GAA club have been offered a special ticket deal when attending National League games this year. Five members from a Social Initiative club including Spa can avail of the concession rates as follows: (Minimum group of 5) will be as follows Senior Citizens 5 Euros. Groups can purchase their tickets directly from Croke Park Ticket Office either by emailing tickets@gaa.ie or phoning ticket office on 01--8717400. Payment should be made directly to Croke Park and the Groups should enter directly through the designated Senior Citizen entrance where the group leader will identify the members of the group . For games in Croke Park the admission will be 5euros and Fitzers will provide a meal for the group for 12euros in Section 4OI. Queries to Hospitality Team at 01--8192315 or Sean Kilbride at 865 8617. Similar concession rates and arrangements will operate for the club finals in Croke Park on March 17th. The arrangements for the All-Ireland championships will be similar to above -up to the All_-Ireland finals stage and will be confirmed in writing well in advance to the club secretary.

Raheen Community Playgroup will host its 2nd Annual Table Quiz in Murphy’s Bar Barraduff on this Friday night February 10th 8-3Opm. Tables of four is forty euros.
